It all started by growing up in suburban New Jersey, a stone’s throw from the bright lights of NYC. The theatre bug bit in first grade when Ken received rave reviews for his riveting portrayal of “Turkey Gobbler” in the school’s Thanksgiving pageant. The die was cast.
Countless dramatic competitions, production numbers, choral concerts and monologues lead him to take his act on the road to Chicago to attend The Theatre School at DePaul University, from which, after an intense four years, he graduated with a BFA in Production Management. Following graduation he hitched his star to a fledgling (and ultimately award-winning) theatre company in the windy city and honed his talents in the areas of acting and scenic and lighting design.
Flair for the stage turned into flair for the vase when the floral design industry presented an opportunity to utilize Ken’s design talents—albeit in a different medium—and fifteen years later, his Flaire for the dramatic remains.
